About

Building Africa's avocado oil brand, from Kenya.

Imara is Swahili for strong. It is the word we chose to describe what we want to leave behind: a quietly confident African brand of avocado oil that holds its own on any shelf in the world.

Our story

A modern Kenyan producer, refiner and bottler.

Imara Avocado Factory began with a simple conviction. Kenya grows some of the finest Hass avocados in the world, yet most of that value has historically left the continent before it could become a finished product. We set out to change that — to press, refine and bottle premium avocado oil here, with the rigour of a global manufacturer and the care of a small craft producer.

From our facility in Thika, we work directly with smallholder farmers, run a clean mechanical extraction line, operate our own avocado oil refinery, and bottle finished product for our own label and for partner brands around the world. Every drop is traceable, every batch is certified, and nothing is rushed.

Transparency

Every batch is documented from grove to bottle. We tell the truth about origin, process and standards.

Sustainable sourcing

We source directly from smallholder farmers and pay fairly and on time. Strong farms make strong oil.

Precision

Quiet engineering and careful operators. We treat oil like the natural product it is.
